“Tree” Cosmetic Container

Plastic containers for a family of cosmetic products. Designed to give a three-dimensional effect between the label area and the body. Also by labeling only the lid, allows us to vary the shape of the body and reduce costs by using a simplest label system, avoiding more costly solutions. The lid is injected and the body is blown using PET with the same preform for all three designs.

Waste collection system for indoors.

Container for collection and separation of solid waste for offices and shopping centers. Designed using iconic systems division through the use of colors, shapes and textures to encourage the user to divide the waste properly. It has an internal container system to eliminate the use of plastic bags, these can be manipulated separately for cleaning in another area without the need to mobilize the entire container.

The proportions are based for people with a physical disability, visual and material savings in production. Its design allows the user to place distribute the plates to his needs and environment. It also has a dis-assembly and easy assembly system for transport purposes.

The simplicity of the container allows advertising on the front or side to integrate some brand or corporate image.

A design exercise on packaging where the main purpose was to reduce the shipping area of the product by working with the basics of stacking. The solution stood a simple H2 Water bottle with a clean and attractive design.

El Kiosko del Café

Based on a research by students of economics at the University of Costa Rica, a stand was developed to sell gourmet coffee at universities and public areas. The sizes of the interior, furniture for the machinery and the working space available internally, was focused entirely on facts of economics. After this, the aspect of aesthetics was developed considering the target market and location of the kiosk.

Designed for commercial areas, it brings two illuminated billboards on the back and side for publicity. Comes with enough space for all the appliances to make any hot and frozen coffee. For security, at night can be closed with rolling steel doors.

On top of the new technology, the way our grandfathers brewed their coffee was the best way to taste all of the oils and aromas of this fruit. By a simple method of pouring hot water to ground coffee, this simple daily task has reflected totally in the Costa Rican culture, even today that our culture is growing along with a new and contemporary world.

The design reflects our progress in design development but it conserves fully the correct way to brew the coffee. It incorporates an essential part of our culture and it provides the simple and quick way to savor a cup of coffee.
